About
Welcome to The Tea Room, a vibrant establishment nestled in the heart of Nashville at 1249 Martin St. This lively spot is much more than just a bar; it offers a modern vibe that resonates with locals and visitors alike. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I'm excited to dive into the unique experience that The Tea Room presents.
From the moment you step in, the ambiance captivates you with its inviting decor and upbeat music. It's a staple in the neighborhood, especially cherished by the LGBTQ+ community, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Customers have praised its friendly service and lively events, making it a must-visit destination. Steven Raimo captures this sentiment perfectly—“Thank g-d for a neighborhood LGBT establishment in Nashville! Modern vibe, great service, fun events. You have to check it out for yourself.”
While the drinks take center stage, it’s hard not to be tempted by the food offerings. Many patrons, like Breanna Cozart, have enjoyed sharing bites with friends, particularly recommending the fried okra served with a zesty chipotle sauce. The combination of crispy texture and bold flavor is a standout, making it a perfect pairing with their cocktails. However, some, like Anissa Perkins, mention that while the food may not necessarily steal the show, it serves its purpose well enough to complement the drinks and experience.
Your cocktail journey here is not to be overlooked. The bartenders possess an ability to craft delicious drinks tailored to your tastes, just as highlighted by customers who found their spirits perfectly balanced and strong. From adventurous mixes to classic favorites, the drink menu promises to satisfy every palate. As Anthony Rasberry noted, the bartender took the time to ensure their experience was enjoyable without any rush, reinforcing the welcoming nature of The Tea Room.
As you mingle with friends or meet new faces, the atmosphere stays engaging yet relaxed, allowing for enjoyable conversations. Candace Newson perfectly sums it up: “Very nice, chill bar... The music was good too and not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation.” It’s this balance of energy and comfort that makes The Tea Room a local hangout, away from the tourist traps but still buzzing with excitement.
In summary, The Tea Room offers not only a selection of quality cocktails and food but also fosters a spirited community vibe. Whether you’re prepping for a night out or unwinding after a long day, this gem in Nashville promises a memorable experience that you’ll want to revisit again and again. So gather your friends and dive into an evening filled with laughter, great drinks, and fun—The Tea Room awaits!
“ Thank g-d for a neighborhood lgbt establishment in Nashville! Modern vide, great service, fun events. You have to check it out for yourself. ”
“ I really enjoy myself here. The drinks are always good and the place can get buddy. That’s when service starts to slow. Everyone is friendly and they offer mini events for you to have a good fun safe time. The food is okay but nothing to write home about. Plenty of free street parking. I will definitely be back. ”
“ Atmosphere was nice. Music was . Didn't get to stay long. Arrived right before 12. Being fro Houston i assumed everything closes at 2. Bartender didn't rush us and made us good quality drinks. Nice and strong. Great service!!!! ”
“ We were looking for a small cocktail bar to go to before our night at Zanies to see Joe list, and we lucked out on finding this gem! The DJ was great. I was jamming the entire time! The fried okra with the Chipotle sauce is the bomb! I wasn't the biggest fan of the Frida Kahlo, I was branching out and trying something new! TBH the aftertaste tasted like I licked a swisher. My first drink though, the bartender asked me what spirit I liked. Then brought me a vodka lychee something and it was VERY tasty! We will definitely be back next time. It seems like more of a local hangout vs a tourist scene, and that's my kind of spot! We ended up spending around 88 and some change including tip. We had 4 drinks and split the fried okra. ”
“ Very nice, chill bar. We came in after a party for a drink and ended up running into friends. We chatted for a couple of hours. The staff was very friendly and helped us pick drinks. I also had the chicken sliders and friend okra. All good and reasonably priced. The music was good too and not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with the person next to you. I'll definitely be back! ”
“ Very cool! Fabulous cocktails and delicious bites. Marc was an outstanding mixologist. All the awesome wrapped up in a smooth playlist. ”
“ Great staff, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food!! Definitely returning on each visit to Nashville! Update: Be careful when making payments! We ran a tab, but paid in cash, server still charged our card and management refuses to take or return our phone calls. Such a shame given we enjoyed our time there, but refuse to give business to dishonest locations!! ”
“ Tease your taste buds with a combinations of ingredients you never tried before. Like a Litchi Martini. Or ask for your favorite that might or might be not on a menu, still welcomed to serve. Need a chaser? Chicken sliders and wings did it for me. Smart interior with plenty of seats for every taste/need/capability. ”
